How we got started
Founded in Pocatello in 1999, we believe in living a life full of joy, gratitude, and good health. These feelings inform and guide our core teachings, treatments, services and practices at Idaho Hyperbarics Inc., as we focus on helping clients improve their level of health and fitness. Jeff l. Hampsten (CHT, CHWS) has opened two multi-place Hyperbaric Chambers in Idaho and is currently operating the largest privately physician owned multi-chamber. Jeff has championed the use of HBO treatment for 30 years. His experience with thousands of patients and tens of thousands of treatments has given him a unique perspective on the effectiveness of HBO for a wide range of maladies. Participation in the NBIRR study and treatment of many Veteran Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) patients have shown the efficacy of HBO for brain wounds. Jeff is also a team member for the website treatnow.org.
What We Offer
Our State of the art facility
We value both your health and your time. Our physicians realize that they are providing you a service and we do our best to assure you are treated in the most efficient and effective way possible at our facility. We are located at our facility on Alameda Road in Pocatello. Construction is complete patient rooms and hyperbaric facilities, along with housing building as shown below. The housing facilities consist of five duplex apartments on the premises. These are used when our patients and their families are required to travel to our location and are in need of housing. This enhances their stay, and both our regular patients and research subjects can stay on-site.

Our hyperbaric chamber is designed to be a sanctuary of relaxation, ensuring your treatment time feels like a personal retreat. For those who enjoy mental stimulation, we offer an on-site library. You can also pass your time with our selection of crosswords, word searches and card games. If you prefer a more restorative experience, we encourage you to simply curl up in a warm blanket and enjoy the quiet.

Caring Staff
At Idaho Hyperbarics, we maintain a staff of trained and Certified Hyperbaric Technicians (CHTs) dedicated to superior and courteous service. Our professional staff includes physicians dedicated to advanced care and hyperbaric medicine, along with Certified Hyperbarics Technicians to assist with your care. Among our resident physicians are Dr. Michael Gregson and Dr. Christopher Shields. These physicians have over 40 years combined practice in wound care and hyperbaric medicine.
